Hello, I’m Bethany—Your Companion on the Journey to Wholeness

I’m a registered dietitian, functional nutritionist, ICF-certified Christian coach, soul care practitioner, artist, and Full Focus Certified Pro.

I’m also a woman who’s walked the long, tender road of healing—an artist at heart, a lover of beauty, stories, and hot tea… and a guide who believes that wholeness begins with listening.

In addition to supporting women in their healing journeys, you’ll find me strolling tree-lined paths and foraging for beauty and goodness with my husband and five children on our 100+-acre farm. I delight in creating watercolor expressions in my studio corner, baking bread from scratch, composing songs and poetry, and curling up with a long English novel or a stirring book of stories. I’m an idealist-healer at heart and a lover of Yorkshire tea, fireside chats, and quiet walks down backcountry roads.

But let’s be honest—it’s not always quiet and dreamy around here. I share life with three teenagers, a preteen, and a preschooler, which means our days often feel more like confetti than ribbon. Still, even in the swirl, I’ve learned to find beauty—one simple meal, one slow step, one grace-soaked moment at a time.

I feature my original artwork throughout Ingrained Living as visual reflections of healing, hope, and restoration—small invitations into beauty and grace that companion the deeper work of wholeness.

How My Journey Shaped My Calling

There was a time when I was the dietitian who looked healthy on paper—but inside, I was unraveling. After the birth of my children, my body began sending distress signals: breathlessness, fatigue, brain fog, blood sugar crashes, and hormonal chaos. I sought help from top specialists and tried countless protocols—only to be told, again and again, “You’re fine.”

But I wasn’t fine.
I felt like I was falling apart at the seams—like my body was betraying me, and no one could tell me why.

Of course, my story didn’t begin there.
The unraveling I experienced after my fourth baby wasn’t just about sleepless nights or postpartum stress. My body had been carrying a story for years—one I hadn’t yet learned how to hear.
The layers of stress, striving, and self-sacrifice had taken a toll in ways I didn’t fully understand. Looking back, I can see how my health wasn’t breaking—it was speaking.
And eventually, it began to speak louder than I could ignore.

Everything began to change when I discovered a personalized nutrition approach that calmed my immune system and addressed the hidden inflammation beneath my symptoms. Within just 10–14 days, I began to feel relief for the first time in years. I could breathe deeply. Think clearly. Be present with my children. That clarity gave me the strength and space to go deeper—into the nutritional repletion and physical restoration my body needed, as well as the emotional and spiritual healing I hadn’t even realized was waiting.

It was never just about the symptoms.
My healing journey became an invitation to listen—to the messages my body had been whispering (and eventually shouting) for years. Through that listening, I began to soften. Settle. Return to myself. And as I healed, the Lord gently called me deeper into this work.

This experience didn’t just change my body. It transformed my life—and it reshaped the way I now walk with women through their own sacred healing journeys.

The Heart of Ingrained Living

Ingrained Living is my overarching brand—a sacred, faith-rooted mission to help women heal at the root: body, mind, and spirit.

The Ingrained Haven is the metaphorical estate at the heart of Ingrained Living.
It is a place of belonging, sacred rest, and whole-person renewal.

Every offering I create finds its place within this estate—each one representing a pace, a posture, or a phase of healing. Whether through the quiet of a private retreat, the guidance of transformational coaching, or the nourishment of functional nutrition, each space within the Haven is designed to gently restore body, story, and spirit.

I also know that some wounds don’t just come from symptoms—but from people. From churches. From systems that should have been safe.

If you carry grief from spiritual abuse or soul-deep hurt at the hands of those who should have held you with care—I understand. I’ve walked through dry seasons myself. Seasons of silence. Seasons where the places that should have nourished me brought confusion, fear, or pain.

But I’ve also known what it is to be met by God in those shadows. My healing hasn’t just touched my physical body—it has reached into every part of me. And I want you to know: you don’t have to be “put together” to begin.

You can come with the pieces.
The ones that feel jagged or don’t yet make sense.

We’ll hold them gently, together.
And with time, grace, and care—they can be woven into something whole.

This is more than a brand.
It’s a rhythm of grace—ingrained, rooted, alive.

What I Believe About the Body

I believe the human body is fearfully and wonderfully made—a stunning reflection of our Creator’s intricate design.
Our bodies are not problems to be fixed, but messengers to be heard. They hold our stories. They carry both weariness and wonder. And when we begin to listen with grace and curiosity, healing becomes not just possible—but sacred.

Our bodies were designed with astonishing capacity to repair and renew—even a paper cut begins to heal within moments.
Yet we also live in a groaning world—one where sin has fractured the wholeness God intended. These bodies, though good, are not ultimate. They are clay jars—beautiful, breakable, beloved.

As believers, we hold the tension of “already and not yet.” We steward these bodies with care and kindness, even as we long for the day when all things will be made new—including us. We do not worship the body—but we honor it. And we follow the example of Christ, who so tenderly cared for the bodies of those who came to Him for healing.

I believe women deserve to be nourished—not just with food, but with truth, beauty, and care that honors their whole story. They deserve to be heard. To be believed. To know they’re not crazy—and that healing is possible. They shouldn’t have to fight so hard to feel whole.

In every act of nourishment, rest, and gentle attention, we echo the compassion of Jesus.
Healing here may not be complete—but it can still be holy.
