Functional Nutrition & Wellness for Midlife Women

Bethany Thomson, RDN | Registered Dietitian Nutritionist | Ingrained Living

Many women arrive here carrying more than symptoms.

They’ve spent years pushing through exhaustion, caring for others, minimizing their own needs, or trying to hold everything together.

Often, what helps most at first isn’t a structured plan, but finally having space to slow down, feel heard, and look at the full picture with someone who listens carefully and without shame.

Healing begins with listening.

Many women tell me this is the first time they’ve felt truly listened to.

Not rushed.
Not dismissed.
Not reduced to a list of symptoms.

Sometimes the first step toward healing is finally having space to slow down, talk honestly about what’s been hard, and look at the full picture with someone willing to listen carefully.

Together, we explore not only symptoms and nutrition, but also the real-life stress, exhaustion, caregiving demands, and patterns that may have made caring for yourself feel difficult for a long time.

Over time, many women begin reconnecting with their own bodies too—learning to notice hunger, stress, fatigue, rhythms, and needs with greater compassion and awareness instead of shame or pressure.

That’s part of the care here.

Stories of Hope and Healing

What if healing didn’t mean trying harder?

What if it meant feeling at peace in your body—and at home in your story?

At Ingrained Living, I’ve walked alongside women who were weary in body, soul, or both. And gently—through rhythms of rest, nourishment, and grace—they found something more than symptom relief.

They found themselves again.

“I’m not sick all the time anymore. I can date, teach, enjoy my life. I have hope now.
— Lee

“There’s really no comparison between how I feel now and how I felt a year ago.”
— Abby

“It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I feel energized and empowered.
— Vicki

Healing here isn’t rushed. It’s received. One rooted step at a time.

“I just wanted someone to look deeper. Bethany helped me see that I wasn’t crazy—and I didn’t need more meds. I needed someone to witness what my body was saying.”
— Jamie

In Bethany at Ingrained Living, I have found a trusted, caring, compassionate, professional, and very knowledgeable advisor and companion as I navigate my nutritional concerns, especially in midlife. She loves nutrition and caring for people. Approaching people holistically (body and soul) drives the integrated care she provides that meets needs at many levels, not just for the “presenting concern.” Highly recommend Bethany at Ingrained Living.

Meet Your Guide

Hello, I’m Bethany—a registered dietitian, functional nutritionist, ICF-certified Christian coach, and soul care practitioner.

I’m also a woman who’s walked the long, tender road of healing—an artist at heart, a lover of beauty, stories, and hot tea…and a guide who believes that wholeness begins with listening.

I created Ingrained Living not just as a wellness practice, but as a sacred estate of rest and renewal. A place where the whole woman—body, mind, and spirit—is gently held, deeply heard, and faithfully guided home to wholeness.

I’ve been there. I know the ache of trying harder and still not feeling better…still not feeling whole.

I have been serving women and families since 2016 through my private practice, Ingrained Living. With advanced training in functional nutrition and food sensitivity work, and a soul-rooted background in transformational coaching, I bring both science and sacred care to your healing journey.

Whether we meet for nutrition care or holistic life coaching, I’ll be with you—helping you listen to what your body and spirit are saying, and walking forward in peace.

I’m not here to fix you. I’m here to walk beside you as you come home yourself, to wholeness, and to the One who created you
with love.

Come, shall we begin?

The Ingrained Approach to Healing

This is the heart of how we walk together—and why it might feel like a deep exhale you didn’t know you needed.

In a world full of noise, pressure, and “not enough,”
we don’t begin with fear.
We begin with gentle listening.

Your body isn’t a puzzle to solve.
It’s a place to tend—with grace and patience.

We believe:

  • Labs aren’t verdicts—they’re invitations to understand.
  • Wisdom without grace creates shame and self-doubt
  • You don’t need more rules or rigid plans
You need space to rebuild trust with your body.
  • You weren’t made to manage or silence your body.
You’re invited to commune with it like an old friend.
  • You are not broken. You are brave and beloved.
  • And healing? It’s not about hustle—it’s a holy return.

Living well shouldn’t feel like a battle.
It should feel like coming home—
a sacred return to the body formed in love and the Creator who called it very good.
